Betty Wanek:

This information is especially interesting to me, as, My family had a successful solar business for 15 years in the 70's and 80's and became acquainted with a retired Chemistry Phd who converted small pick-ups to electric. He sent a big check to a group in Utah, I believe, to purchase lithium polymer batteries they had developed. This was about mid 80's. They sent his check back, saying, Sorry, but GM has bought us out.
These were: light weight, quick charge, slow release, high capacity, long life.
Interesting, yes?
I am now 83 years old and enthusiasticallly watching this evolution, anxious to drive the ultimate electric car.
