Since the industrial revolution there was all the time a bi-directional relationship between industries to service providers respectively service providers to end-customers. This generally accepted status quo was the bottom line for developing life cycle theories which translated in real life are resulting in technologically evolution, new jobs and customs. What the end-users are willing to get at the end, is more, better services and eventually for less money. That is what for instance, the broadband internet offers the premises for. A transport layer for a bundle of applications which in a certain way are already provided by means of different technologies, some of them couple of decades old and expensive to sustain. Moreover, it is in anyone's interest to participate in this endeavor since is fully aligned with the "green" trend.
