This is cool stuff, but how many years will it be before the terrorists get hold of it (as they eventually do with every weapon) and threaten us with it?

Makes me think of the Michael Crichton book, "Prey" - it's a chilling read, albeit a work of science fiction, where a swarm of self-replicating nano-machines escape from a research lab into the desert and turn hostile, attacking humans that stray into their path. However, with the way that technology is evolving, I do wonder how much longer this might truly be termed "fiction"...?
