Bah Humbug!
Solar cell efficiency isn't important! The cost in dollars per watt hour is whats important. If this technology is viable, then get on with it!
The efficiency of solar panels for home use has been steadily incresing, along with the price. The currently expected payback time for a home installation is about 100 years.
