Nick Massetti:

Why not highlight a US based startup who has been doing the same thing. Aurora BioFuels, Inc. is a renewable energy company exploring new sources of feedstock for the production of biofuels. In particular, Aurora utilizes microalgae to generate bio-oil, which can be converted into biodiesel.

These folks have been steadfast supporters of the IEEE in the San Francisco Bay Area and ought to get more than equal time.

This sounds great! Anything has got to be better than Bush's plan to use basic food stuffs which threatens to cause more starvation deaths through rising the cost of these foods beyond what people are able to pay.

Another area I would love to see explored is the capturing of the energy from lightening strikes. Our ability to store energy has increased so slightly when compared with the advancement of computers. If only someone could harness that energy then that would take care of so much pollution.

Thanks,

The potential for creating energy from algae sounds great. But what happens when (not if) the algae is released into nature's lakes and rivers? Do the world's waters become covered with oil producing algae?

This was a great article on Vertigro. Thanks for taking it a little deeper than traditional media outlets. As point of reference, I've been compiling all the news on Vertigro around the web.
