Very cool looking game looming on the horizon, Lila Dreams. It's a 2D sidescrolling platformer of an MMORPG that takes place entirely within the imagination of an 11-year-old girl. Check out the blog that I linked above. There are a lot of interesting ideas the small dev team is running with.
Time will tell, of course, whether any of these ideas end up working; but since I'm on a small developer promotion kick these days, I definitely wanted to give them a plug.
